The European Normative Nº305/2011 actually regulates the public buildings construction in the Economical European Community. This normative legislates the installation and maintenance of Fire Doors in any public building.
At national level the CTN23- Fire Protection Security normative, regulates all of the mandatory procedures regarding the installation and maintenance of fire doors.
In base to the European Nº305/2011 Normative content it demands that any residential complex, hotels, residences, hostpitals etc must count with fire doors as entrance doors that protects the fire extension in fire case in any part of the building’s facilities.

APPENDIX 1 ‘’CONTRUCTION BASIC REQUIREMENTS’’
2. Security in fire case the construction works must be projected and constructed the way that in fire case:
a) The sustention capacity of the work will be maintained for a determined period of time;
b) The fire and smoke apparition and extension has to be limited in the work.
c) The fire extension to nearby works has to be limited;
d) The occupants can leave the work or be rescued by other means.
e) The rescue teams’s security has to be keeped in mind.
